My Disabled Self

There are so many things
I want to say to you, mom and dad
But I can't seem to find
The words for it, like I forget

So please be patient and
Keep helping me, mom and dad
Because I need all the
Love and words I can get

There are so many things to do
I just can't calm down
Sadly, so few things that
Can make me at peace

So please mom and dad,
Help me find my own
So I can learn something new
And be at ease


I Can Do and Say

Brush my teeth, pray and go to sleep
I can do those things on my own at night

Read a fairy tale and count the sheep
I can say, "Have a peaceful, good night"
