Ada 1 lembaga penelitian sekuler di USA yg meneliti tentang orang-orang
bahagia.
Karena ini lembaga sekuler, ukuran bahagia pertama adalah banyaknya uang,
maka lembaga tersebut mensurvey orang-orang kaya (milyuner) dengan sample
awal sebanyak lebih dari 200 ribu orang milyuner.

Dari 200 ribu itu disaring kadar bahagia-nya berdasarkan berbagai parameter
termasuk keluarga tersebut.
Hasil saringan terakhir ada sekitar 200 orang yang dianggap sangat bahagia,
karena selain kaya, bisnisnya luar biasa, menikmati hidup, keluarganya
beres.
Hasil survey tersebut ditulis dalam buku karangan Thomas Stanley berjudul
"The Millionaire Mind."

Orang-orang kaya tersebut rata-rata sudah berumur, mereka adalah orang kaya
dalam 1 generasi, artinya bukan kaya arisan, tapi kaya dengan modal zero,
alias kerja sendiri.

Kemudian orang-orang ini diwawancara satu per satu secara detail, dan
di-summary-kan gaya hidup orang-orang tersebut, berikut 10 gaya hidup:

1. Orang-orang tersebut frugal = hemat, artinya: mereka penuh pertimbangan
dalam memanfaatkan uang mereka.
Untuk beli sesuatu, pikir-pikir dulu sekitar 20 kali, tipe orang yang tanya
sama Tuhan tentang segala sesuatu pengeluaran. Mereka tidak diperbudak
mode, meskipun tidak kuno, tapi modis.
Mereka tahu di mana beli barang bagus tapi murah.

2. Orang-orang tersebut selalu hidup di bawah income mereka, tidak hidup
gali lobang tutup lobang alias anti utang.

3. Sangat loyal terhadap pasangan - tidak cerai dan setia!

4. Selalu lolos dari prahara baik dalam keluarga/bisnis (di USA sering
resesi ekonomi, mereka selalu lolos).
Setelah ditanya apa kunci lolosnya,jawabannya : "overcoming worry and fear
with The Bible and pray, with faith to God. We have God and His word."

5. Cara berpikir mereka berbeda dalam segala segi dengan orang-orang
kebanyakan, contoh: kita kalau ke mall, mikir abisin duit, mereka malah
survey mencari bisnis apa yang paling laku di mall.
They think differently from the crowd.
Mereka "man of production" bukan "man of consumption. "

6. Ketika ditanya kunci suksesnya:
a. Punya integritas = omongan dan janji bisa dipegang dan dipercaya.
b. Disiplin = tidak mudah dipengaruhi, dalam segala hal, termasuk disiplin
dalam hal makanan, mereka orang yang tidak sembarangan konsumsi makanan.
Tidak serakah.
c. Selalu mengembangkan social skill = cara bergaul, belajar getting along
with people, belajar leadership, menjual ide, mereka orang yang
meng-upgrade dirinya, tidak malas belajar.
d. Punya pasangan yg support, selalu mendukung dalam keadaan enak/tidak.
Menurut mereka, integrity dimulai di rumah, kalau seorang suami/istri tidak
bisa dipercaya di rumah, pasti tidak bisa dipercaya diluar.

7. Pembagian waktu/aktivitas, paling banyak untuk hal-hal berikut:
a. Mengajak anak dan cucu sport/olahraga, alasannya, dengan olahraga bisa
meningkatkan fighting spirit yang penting untuk pertandingan rohani untuk
menang sebagai orang beriman, untuk bisa sportif (menerima kenyataan,
tetapi dengan semangat untuk memperbaiki dan menang).
b. Banyak memikirkan tentang investment.
c. Banyak waktu berdoa, mencari hadirat Allah, belajar Firman.
Ini menjadi lifestyle mereka sejak muda.
d. Attending religious activities.
e. Sosializing with children and grand child, ngobrol.
f. Entertaining with friends, maksudnya bergaul, membina hubungan.

8. Have a strong religious faith, dan menurut mereka ini kunci sukses
mereka.

9. Religious millionaire. Mereka tidak pernah memaksakan suatu jumlah aset
sama Tuhan, tapi mereka belajar mendengarkan suara Tuhan, berapa jumlah aset
yang Tuhan inginkan buat mereka. Minta guidance untuk bisnis. Mereka bukan
type menelan semua tawaran bisnis yang disodorkan
Kepada mereka, tapi tanya Tuhan dulu untuk mengambil keputusan.

10. Ketika ditanya tentang siapa mentor mereka, jawabannya adalah Tuhan.

"Jika setiap bangun pagi, kita bisa mensyukuri dengan tulus apa yang telah
kita miliki hari ini, niscaya sepanjang hari kita bisa menikmati hidup ini
dengan bahagia"

A game by Kelarly. Just another video showing how far I am into the creation of this game. I think this game is turning out very well. Since my last vid, I changed all the battlers to animated ones. Some of the monsters may behave a bit strange, because I had to edit most of them so they could work with the script I'm using. Anyway, enjoy the vid.

"The one who Loves you or The one you love..."


This is also for those who are waiting for the person they love to love them back openly, to those who are looking for love and those who know that their love is not meant to be...Sometimes, in our relentless efforts to find the person we love, we fail to recognize and appreciate the people who love us. We miss out on so many beautiful things and simplybecause we allow ourselves to be enslaved by our own selfish concerns by being selfish to find our ideal love that we might never gonna find it. Go for the person of deeds and not for the one of words, for you will find rewarding happiness not with the one you love but the one whom loves you more.

The best lovers are those who are capable of loving from a distance, far enough to allow the other person to grow, but never too far to feel the love deep within your being.To let go of someone doesn't mean you have to stop loving, it only means that you allowthat person to find his own happiness without expecting him/her to come back. Letting go is not just setting the other person free but it is also setting yourself free from all bitterness, hatred, and anger that you keep in your heart.

Do not let the bitterness rare away your strength and weaken your faith, and never allowpain to dishearten you, but rather let you grow with wisdom in bearing it. You may found peace in just loving someone from a distance not expecting anything in return. But be careful, for this can sustain life but can never give enough room for us to grow. We can all survive with just beautiful memories of the past but real peace and happiness come only with open acceptance of what reality is today.There comes a time in our lives when we chance upon someone so nice and beautiful and we just find ourselves getting so intensely attracted to that person. This feeling soon becomes a part of our everyday lives and eventually consumes our thoughts and actions.

Others are lucky to have an actual fairy tale unfold in their lives, when they find that this is the significant other they've long been waiting for...However, for some, the sad part of it is when we begin to realize that this person feelsnothing more for us than just a friendship...but don't be so bitter about it! For it is a kind of FRIENDSHIP that will last for a LIFETIME!!! We start our desperate attempt to get noticed and be closer but in the end our efforts are still unrewarded and we end up being sorry for ourselves.You don't have to forget someone you love. What you need to learn is how to accept theverdict of reality without being bitter or sorry for yourself.Believe me, you would be better off giving that dedication and love to someone more deserving. Don't let your heart run your life, be sensible, and let your mind speak for itself. Listen not only to your feelings but to reason as well.

Always remember that if you lose someone today, it means that someone better is comingtomorrow: If you lose love that doesn't mean that you failed in love. Cry, if you have to,but make sure that the tears wash away the hurt and the bitterness that the past has leftwith you. Ada dua orang lansia yang tinggal di salah satu Panti Jompo. Mereka saling mengenal sudah cukup lama. Pada suatu malam komunitasnya merayakan pesta dan mereka makan bersama di satu meja. Selama acara ramah tamah berlangsung, si opa beberapa kali main mata dengan si oma. Akhirnya dia merasa cukup berani untuk bertanya kepadanya, ”Maukah kamu menikah dengan aku?” Setelah ”memikirkannya” dalam beberapa detik, si oma itu menjawab, ”Ya, ya, saya mau!” Mereka masih sempat mengobrol sebentar. Setelah pesta usai, mereka kembali ke tempat masing-masing.

Keesokan harinya, si opa bingung. Apakah si oma itu menjawab “ya” atau “tidak?” Dia berusaha tapi sama sekali dia tak bisa ingat.. Sambil gemetaran, dia mencoba untuk menelponnya. Pertama dia menjelaskan bahwa ingatannya memang makin kacau. Kemudian dia mencoba membicarakan lagi pesta semalam. Dan karena makin percaya diri, akhirnya dia bertanya, “Hmm, saat aku mengajak kamu untuk menikah, apakah kamu menjawab ya atau tidak?” Begitu gembira dia pada saat si oma itu menjawab “Tentu saja aku menjawab ya, ya, saya mau, dan itu sungguh dengan sepenuh hatiku!” Kemudian ia melanjutkan, “Dan untung kamu menelpon, karena saya sama sekali tidak bisa ingat siapa yang meminta saya!”

Pada umumnya, dua orang mau menikah karena cinta, alias cinta romantik. Perasaan “saling suka” yang juga dianggap “saling cinta” itulah yang biasa meyakinkan pasangan untuk bersama memasuki bahtera pernikahan. Tapi ada masalah sedikit disini, yakni walaupun cinta tersebut merupakan suatu daya tarik yang sangat kuat bagi dua pribadi, namun ia tidak cukup kuat untuk merekatkan keduanya. Buktinya adalah begitu banyak hubungan suami-istri yang retak dan gagal! Saya sangat setuju dengan seorang penulis yang mengatakan bahwa yang diperlukan untuk merekatkan seorang itu dengan pasangannya bukanlah cinta (romantik) melainkan kecocokan

Pada waktu Tuhan menciptakan Hawa untuk menjadi istri Adam , Ia menetapkan satu kriteria yang khusus dan ini hanya ada pada penciptaan istri manusia, yaitu, “Aku akan menjadikan penolong baginya, yang sepadan dengan dia.” Kata “sepadan” dapat kita ganti dengan kata “cocok.” Tuhan tidak hanya menciptakan seorang wanita buat Adam yang dapat dicintainya, Ia sengaja menciptakan seorang wanita yang cocok untuk Adam. Berarti Tuhan menyatakan bahwa supaya seorang pria dan seorang wanita dapat hidup bersama, mereka harus cocok. Menarik sekali bahwa Tuhan tidak menganggap cinta (romantik) sebagai prasyarat pernikahan. Tuhan sudah memberi kita petunjuk bahwa yang terpenting bagi suami dan istri adalah kecocokan.

Mungkinkah ungkapan yang sangat indah itu: Cinta adalah segalanya, keliru? Kedatangan Tuhan Yesus menyempurnakan Cinta. Begitu besar Kasih Allah akan dunia ini sehingga Ia telah mengaruniakan Anak-Nya yang tunggal.... Cinta sejati rela berkorban! Dengan cinta yang seperti ini memang, ”Cinta adalah segalanya!” Jadi para suami dan istri, kecocokan yang merekatkan kamu dengan pasangan hendaklah disempurnakan lagi dengan cinta sejati yang dari Tuhan. Dengan kata lain, Cintailah yang cocok dengan kamu!
