Now it might not sound real but it happens. In a car accident, if those involved can't determine whose fault it is, the settlement is often determined by claiming to each insurance for repairs. No hassle, no cops, problem solved.

However, an idiot here carries over this "sub-culture" towards crashing onto people. I don't want to make it an insult or something, but if it happens, somebody tell him that it just won't do like in car-to-car accidents.

Okay, so this is only to differ the terms and introducing a new term: OFF-ROAD vs ROAD-OFF.

OFF-ROAD: Out of the city roads, in the countryside or even trekking on the jungle by the appropriate car.

ROAD-OFF: Road in the city that is too damaged trekking on it resembles an off-road ride. Potholes, cracks, flood, debris and such are the road-off elements.

I don't know about your city, but road-offs are so common in Jakarta that every driver is trained every day to be an off-roader. Just laugh it off, and if not, just think about it.

okay, so according to the survey, bangkok jam still holds the legendary record of the longest traffic jam in the world today (nov 2010 as this cartoon was made).

yet, another legend is rising - the jakarta jam (jak jam). if not the most, it sure is one of the most annoying and dangerous traffic jam in the world today. potholes and floods in the damaged road (road-off, vadis sez), stupid yet desperate-like commuters behavioral (like going against the traffic etc), not to mention debris and dangerous materials like nails, screws people threw on purpose.

in short, it's a picture of a desperate shock for the culture built for years and years not only in bangkok, indonesia, moscow but also some of the peaks of culture in the world.
